While progressives are urging an end to laws against dangerous drugs, record numbers of Americans are dying from overdoses of Fentanyl. And it’s getting worse.

According to the U.S. Government, Fentanyl overdoses are now the leading cause of adults between the ages of 18 and 45 in America.  There were 37,208 recorded Fentanyl deaths in 2020 and at least 41,587 in 2021, according the awareness organization Families Against Fentanyl.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can be very deadly even when ingested in very small amounts. Dealers in illegal drugs sometimes mix Fentanyl in with heroin, meth and marijuana.

According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, most of the Fentanyl illegally in the United States comes from Mexico and China. They are killing our young adults.

“This is a national emergency. America’s young adults — thousands of unsuspecting Americans — are being poisoned,” James Rauh, founder of Families Against Fentanyl, said in a statement. “It is widely known that illicit fentanyl is driving the massive spike in drug-related deaths. A new approach to this catastrophe is needed.”

Texas law enforcement confiscated enough Fentanyl in 2021 alone to kill 200 million people.

That is a staggering number.

In December, the DEA announced a spike in the sale of fake prescription pills containing deadly opioids on social media platforms like Snapchat.

Health experts partially blame the Chinese coronavirus epidemic for the rise in Fentanyl overdoses.

More in the 18-45 age group died of Fentanyl overdoses in 2020 than COVID-19, car accidents, cancer and suicide. Fentanyl also killed more Americans of all ages in 2020 than car accidents, gun violence, breast cancer and suicide, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

This made worse by Joe Biden’s open border on America’s southern border. Illegal drugs come into this country with impunity. This won’t get any better while liberals are running the country.
