Professor Philip D. Smith, PhD, will host two lectures on March 14 and April 18 on World War I at the Tulsa Community College Metro Campus Center for Creativity at 9th Street and Boston Avenue.
On March 14, Professor Paddy Swiney will speak on “World War I and the Founding of the Czech State: Breaking up the Austro-Hungarian Empire.”
On April 18, Dr. David Ruskoski will speak on “The Polish Army in France: Immigrants, Volunteers and Defenders of Freedom.”
Both lectures are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the campus parking lots. Both lectures begin at 7 p.m.
Smith is an associate professor of history at TCC.
