These are very frustrating times.  We see evil things being done by our government leaders – innocent lives are being taken – jobs purposely being destroyed – freedom of religion and freedom of speech is being taken away — Christians and conservative voices are being silenced as fear of reprisal from the left is spreading across the land.

We are being bullied by those who say they oppose bullies!

Good, decent hardworking people want to fight back, but many feel powerless to do so.  The people we’ve elected to represent us, and to protect us, are more interested in protecting themselves.  They see what is happening to our nation and they’re taking the side of the lawless-ones, because they want to remain in power; they’ve chosen to become part of the ruling class in this “new” socialistic/progressive regime.

But let us not forget:  God is the one who places people in power; and God is also the one who removes them.  We may not understand why God allows certain things to happen (as is the case today), but God explains it this way:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV).

What should we do?  The most important thing is to make sure we are walking hand-in-hand with the Lord – and that we are doing it day-by-day every day of the week.

We must pray, and read God’s Word every day.  Seek the Lord’s counsel and guidance, and ask for wisdom and discernment so that we can recognize the evil schemes being plotted against all God’s people.  And when the Lord speaks, follow his directions, and do what God tells us to do . . . Be obedient!

This is truly a spiritual battle between good and evil.  God is good – and Satan (the devil) is evil.  It’s that simple!  Don’t make it complicated.  There are only two choices; either you serve God, or you serve Satan.  And Satan is blinding the minds of non-believers, making them believe the lies being told by people in the secular world:

“The god of this age [Satan] has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4 NIV).

Satan has been trying to overthrow God’s kingdom since the beginning of time.  And now, as the “clock” is winding down, Satan sees his days of opportunity — his plans for world domination – are quickly coming to an end.  God is the one who controls “time” from the beginning to the end.  Jesus himself said:

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:13 NIV).

As born-again followers of Jesus we must not lie down and let the secular world roll over us.  NO!  We must have faith and believe, put on the armor of God, be brave, and take a stand against the evilness of this world.  We must submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us (see James 4:7).

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV).

I am not talking about an armed revolution.  This is a spiritual battle, and God is calling for us to pray, turn from our wicked ways, obey his commands, and he will take it from there.  Just as God told the Israelites long, long ago:

“Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15 KJV). Now is the time for God’s people to wake up, rise up, speak up, and take a stand for what is right.
