President Joe Biden is dedicated to destroying America’s energy industry and to raise the cost of energy to ordinary Americans.

His plan is working quite well so far.

During a recent townhall cable program, Biden was asked when gasoline prices – which are up almost $2 a gallon since he took office – might come back down

“I don’t see anything that’s going to significantly reduce gas prices right now,” Biden said. “My guess is you’ll start to see gas prices come down as we get by going into the winter, I mean excuse me, into next year in 2022.”

Biden said gas prices depend on the goodwill of Saudi Arabia, not on his policies on energy in America.

Before Biden took office, President Trump had achieved energy independence for America. That was so beneficial for our economy and so important for our defense.

Biden mumbled that he had a few things he was working on but he basically told Americans to get used to high energy prices from now on. He has not even discussed the situation with Middle East allies.

“I don’t have a near-term answer,” Biden said. “It’s going to be hard.”

This is not leadership. This is surrender.

Biden has declared war on fossil fuels and he intends to put oil and natural gas companies out of business. With such a bleak situation, companies slow down exploration and getting financing for new wells gets tricky.

Meanwhile, high gasoline prices eat away at buying power and add to the cost of almost everything because of skyrocketing transportation costs.

Maybe when liberal Democrats in the Northeast face terrible heating fuel costs and shortages, they will realize that electing Joe Biden was a mistake for America.
