Gas prices rose to $4.21 a gallon – a new record – and diesel went to $4.99 per gallon at the QuikTrip at 51st Street and Sheridan Road on March10 as the nation deals with rising gas prices under the Biden administration. The previous record of $4.10 per gallon was set in 2008. The national average price of gasoline in the U.S. broke the existing record, rewriting the all-time high to $4.10 per gallon, according to GasBuddy. The previous all-time high was set back in 2008 at $4.10 per gallon. The national average price of diesel is nearing a new record, now at $4.63 per gallon. “Americans have never seen gasoline prices this high, nor have we seen the pace of increases so fast and furious,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
