Tulsa, Oklahoma – The University of Tulsa named Jeff Farina-Morelos as the director of operations for the women’s basketball program, it was announced today by Head Coach Angie Nelp.

“We are excited to welcome Jeff to our TU family,” Nelp said.  “He has helped programs reach success at an elite level and will immediately have a positive impact on our team.  Jeff has an incredible work ethic with the desire to serve and will be a tremendous asset to our program.”

Farina-Morelos comes to Tulsa after spending the 2022-23 season as a graduate assistant with the men’s basketball program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.  He was responsible for video coding, player development workouts, budget, meals, team travel, equipment and camps.

Prior to UNCG, Farina-Morelos served as a men’s basketball manager at Marquette University for three years, including as the head manager in 2021-22.  He prepared statistical reports for the coaching staff, handled equipment operations and oversaw a team of managers.

Farina-Morelos also served as a marketing and customer relations intern for College Works Painting in the summer of 2020 and was a media/player relations intern for Marquette for the 2021-22 season.

Farina-Morelos earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies and public relations in May 2022 from Marquette.  He is working on his master’s degree in peace and conflict studies at North Carolina-Greensboro and is expected to graduate in May 2024.
