OKLAHOMA CITY – Eli Westemeir, a junior at Jenks High School, recently served as a page for Rep. Mark Tedford, R-Jenks, during the tenth week of the Oklahoma House of Representatives’ 60th Legislature.
Westemeir is actively involved in several academic and extracurricular programs, including National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Spanish Club and pre-med. He plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to pursue a pre-med degree before continuing his education at the Logan College of Chiropractic. His long-term goal is to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a chiropractor.
“Eli is a bright and driven young man with a clear sense of purpose and a heart for helping others,” Tedford said. “It was a pleasure to welcome him to the Capitol this week, and I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in the future.”
Tedford, a Republican, represents House District 69 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He remains committed to supporting students, schools and future leaders across the state.
The Oklahoma House High School Page Program is open to juniors and seniors. Pages are assigned for one week, Monday through Thursday, and gain firsthand experience in the legislative process by working in the House Chamber during session, assisting representatives and staff, and participating in the House Page Mock Legislature.
