Jim Bridenstine is stepping down as chief administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Bridenstine, who left the U.S. House of Representatives to accept the NASA job, took the job in 2018 after being nominated by President Donald Trump. The position is appointed by the president.

Bridenstine, a conservative Republican, is the first elected official to be named to that job. He was very qualified, due to his background in Congress and experience as a Navy pilot.

“This has been the opportunity of a lifetime,” Bridenstine said of the NASA post. “And whatever comes next, it’s going to be hard to match.”

The Dark State, bureaucrats who are more loyal to the Democrat Party and the Washington, D.C., Swamp than the nation itself, have been successful of getting rid of or throttling key conservatives in the Trump Administration.

Bridenstine should have been a target but his expertise in science, the military, finances and government shielded him from any serious threats of removal.  And his Christian morality made him an administrator who not only cared for the mission but for those who worked with him.

Bridenstine plans to return to Oklahoma but he has not decided what new challenge he will undertake.

Two things are for sure: he will look for a challenge and he will be successful.
