When President Biden said that he would unite the American people, many – myself included – doubted him.  With his most recent speech authorizing the force of government authority against those who refused the COVID vaccine, our suspicions were confirmed.

It is clear now that what he meant was that he would unite all those who either agreed with him or were willing to be silenced in the face of collective force and the associated threat of authoritarian violence.

And if one actually believes, as the president must, that these measures were sufficiently necessary such that not implementing them would result in further destructive effects of the disease, then it would have taken such minimal rational effort to see that those who had already resisted being first cajoled, then shamed, then marginalized, then threatened, would not likely be any more agreeable after implementation of something even more authoritarian; that their trust of government authorities, with full cooperation of the mainstream media, would not likely be significantly strengthened (especially in view of the existence so many qualified, scientific dissenting voices and given the tremendous efforts being used to silence them).

And especially that, given their likely reluctance to acquiesce when additional authoritarian measures have been applied, there can be no other logical conclusion but that even greater draconian measures will soon be further necessary.

To put it another way, every person who agrees with the president and believes that vaccine mandates must be implemented, must be prepared to answer the question, what do we do with the dissenters next?

The answer to that question has already been provided to you by history – you must grease the wheels of your tumbrels and sharpen the blades of your guillotines.
