Oklahoma needs conservative voices in the State Senate.
State Sen. Bill Brown, R-Broken Arrow, is term limited and is leaving. Sen. Brown has not only been one of the most conservative voices and votes in the Senate, but he has been a bridge builder who didn’t compromise his principles.
He will be hard to replace.
Democrats – locally and nationally – would love to have a liberal, socialistic Democrat to take Brown’s place in the Senate to represent District 36 in Broken Arrow.
Democrats ran the state for more than 100 years and made a mess. They failed to put enough money in the teacher retirement fund. They raised taxes on just about every aspect of life. They ushered in casino gambling and a state lottery with the promise they would fully fund public education. It hasn’t. They have helped overturn every effort to abolish abortion in Oklahoma. They promoted legalization of marijuana and liberalization of state liquor laws. Their judges prohibited the display of a Ten Commandments monument on state property.
The State Senate is a key battleground for Oklahoma values.
Republican John Haste is the only candidate equipped to battle the Democrats and liberal Republicans. Haste has a business background and will apply common-sense principles to government.
Haste is a dedicated Christian, a member of First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, and he is ready to take on the challenge of righting the ship in state government.
The Tulsa Beacon endorses Republican John Haste in the race for the Oklahoma Senate in District 36 in Broken Arrow.
