The Supreme Court announced they will hear three cases determining whether federal law protects lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals (LGBTQ) from discrimination in the workplace.  The court said it would review all three cases, but ordered that two of the cases be combined into one argument.

This is a big deal in more ways than one.  First of all, the highest court in the land is going to listen to arguments from people who claim to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, etc.

These individuals cannot prove that they are indeed LGBTQ because there is no physical or biological evidence to support that claim – it is all based on their perception of themselves.

Maybe their employer didn’t even know they were LGBTQ, since claiming to be LGBTQ is based strictly on “how you feel about yourself.”  Perhaps these individuals lost their jobs simply because of unsatisfactory job performance.

Employers still have the right to establish job performance standards – and when those standards are not met – employers still have the right to terminate any person whose job performance is below those standards.

If the Supreme Court were to grant federal protection/preferential status to LGBTQs . . . that would open the door for an onslaught of discrimination lawsuits from every person in the United States.  Any person who loses their job, could simply file a lawsuit, and claim to be LGBTQ.    A claim that cannot be proved or disproved . . . because it is simply a myth.

But more importantly, any person who publicly proclaims the biblical view that the LGBTQ lifestyle, same-sex marriage, participating in homosexual acts, sexual immorality, fornication, etc., is sinful, and an abomination to Almighty God . . . that person could be subject to federal prosecution for discrimination.

That is a frightful thought for every born-again follower of Jesus, and every minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let us all pray that the Supreme Court recognizes the foolishness of these preposterous claims, and the far-reaching negative impact they would have on religious freedom in this great nation – and – that the Court’s decision will be in accordance with the perfect will of Almighty God.
