Prior to the Civil War, there were three primary schools of thought about slavery. One was to maintain the status quo due to economic impact that freeing the slaves would create. Another group thought that the institution of slavery could be whittled away at and slowly it might be done away with.

A third group knew that slavery was immoral and un-Christian and must be immediately abolished.

There was such sharp disagreement over these views that we went to war and hundreds of thousands of Americans died to end slavery.

Now we have legalized abortion and there are three broad camps. One is pro-abortion and wants abortions on demand, at any stage of pregnancy, for any reason and with no legal restraints. Another has people who don’t like abortion and wish it were illegal. They have resigned themselves to the idea that it will always be legal and the best they can do is to try to limit the number of abortions.

And then there are those who wish to abolish abortion because it is murder.

Just like slavery was immoral, so is abortion.

The abortion abolitionists want abortion made illegal immediately. America has had 47 years to stop this murder of unborn babies and all efforts have failed.

The Republican leaders in the Oklahoma Legislature, who all call themselves pro-life, continue to push bills to slow down murder and they kill bills designed to exert constitutional states’ rights to end abortion in Oklahoma.

Which side reflects the will of God? The people who want fewer babies killed or those who want no babies to die in their mothers’ wombs?
