I want to thank the Tulsa Beacon for consistently publishing the fine letters from Duane Collins, of Bixby, and Manuel Yabarra, of Coalgate, whose  letters are always so timely, about what is going on in our world.  There are lots of preachers today, but few seem to be standing in the counsel of God,  as they don’t seem to have any word from the Lord God, as to anything going on.

The first thing I look for, when opening your paper, is to see if there are any letters to the editor, and most often, in today’s busy world that is all I read, except as to your always, on-point editorial opinions when there are any, and I’ll read Pat Buchanan’s interesting pieces when I have time.  But when  no letters are therein, I always feel like I’ve been shorted.  I’ve always felt that most fellow Americans are as interested as I am, as to the thoughts  of fellow Americans, and I’ve heard others say, in past years, that they, too, always look for letters first, in any paper.

I enjoyed so much  the fine letters from Collins and Ybarra in the January 21st paper, plus one from Charles Bryant and two from Peggy Burgess, all so  properly speaking to the darkness of our time.

I pray to God, in the precious name of Jesus, that the Tulsa Beacon will continue to be a beacon of God’s light, in these dark days.
