March 11 is the last day to apply for voter registration to be eligible to vote in the April 5 Board of Education General Election, according to Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Gwen Freeman.

The races on the ballot are for Bixby Public Schools Office 2, Jenks Public Schools Office 2, Owasso Public Schools Office 2, Sand Springs Public Schools Office 2, Tulsa Public Schools Offices 4 and 7; Union Public Schools Office 2 and Tulsa Technology Center Zone 3.

United States citizens who are Oklahoma residents can apply for voter registration at age 17 1/2 but they must be 18 to vote. Applications must be received by midnight on March 11 to be eligible to vote on April 5. Applicants will be notified in writing when their application has been processed. Anyone who does not get a response within 30 days should contact the election board.

If a voter has moved within the county and needs to update an address, he or she can make changes at the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp. Voter registration applications are available at Oklahoma.gov/elections. The Tulsa County Election Board is at 555 N. Denver Ave. and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
