Oklahomans can send a clear message of rejection of a “blue wave” in the race for lieutenant governor.
Republican Matt Pinnell is a conservative Christian and Democrat Anastasia Pittman represents the liberal wing of her party – the so-called “blue wave.”
The national Democrat Party is swinging way to the left and they would like nothing better than to elect a liberal Democrat as lieutenant governor in Oklahoma. That would set the stage for a run at governor in four or eight years.
Oklahoma has been held back by eight years of liberal Democrat Gov. Brad Henry, followed by eight years of liberal Republican Gov. Mary Fallin.
More Democrat leadership would translate into bigger government, higher taxation and more government regulation. It would foster an assault on the energy industry, encourage abortion and continue moral slide with liberalized alcohol and gambling laws.
Just when Oklahomans think it couldn’t get worse, it would.
An ORU graduate, Pinnell was a former chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party. At the time, he was the youngest state chairman in the nation. While chairman, the GOP dominated state politics and Republicans voted along the lines of the party platform.
Pinnell then served as national state party director for the Republican National Committee and he helped the GOP gain control of the U.S. Senate and elect Donald Trump as president. Pinnell was part of the transition team.
Pinnell has pledged to support economic development over higher taxes. More importantly, he holds to the traditional values that make America and Oklahoma great.
Voters have a choice. Take a step backward for the failed policies of the socialistic Democrats or move forward with the Trump vision.
Matt Pinnell is the right choice for lieutenant governor and is endorsed by the Tulsa Beacon.
