For several weeks, Israel has been heavily bombarded by rockets packed with explosives being fired by Islamic radicals from several neighboring countries.
The rockets are being fired indiscriminately from Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. One of the rockets exploded near Israel’s nuclear reactor in Dimona, a town of about 34,000 people located in the Negev Desert in southern Israel. Inspection of the remaining rocket pieces at the site revealed it to be a Russian-made rocket that had been supplied to the Syrian Army.
The Holy Bible tells us of an alliance being formed by Israel’s hostile neighbors, and the purpose of the alliance is to annihilate Israel . . . To once and for all wipe Israel off the map. That Bible prophecy is found in Psalm 83, and it identifies those hostile neighbors to be Edom, Moab, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, the Philistines, Tyre and Assur. The modern names for those countries are Jordan, the Egyptian Sinai, Lebanon, Gaza, Syria and Iraq.
Psalm 83:3-4 says, “They have taken crafty counsel against thy people [Israel], and have consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.’” Note: See Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 49, Amos 1, and Zechariah 9 for similar prophecies.
Israel has located the spots from which these rockets were launched and has staged counter-attacks to defend Israeli citizens from further attack. However, most of the news reports we are hearing are describing Israel as the “aggressor.” This charge is ludicrous, because the Hamas terrorists who control Gaza have been launching rockets into Israel on a regular basis ever since President George W. Bush coerced Israel into giving Gaza to the Palestinians in 2005. Bush did that on the promise of “peace” in the region.
However, the attacks have escalated under the Biden/Harris administration, because one of Biden’s first Executive Orders was to restore the $200 million in aid to the Palestinians that President Trump had stopped in 2018.
The aid money was supposed to be used to improve the economy in Gaza, and help lift the 2 million Arab-Palestinians living there out of their deep economic hardship. But when the Trump administration learned the money was being used to help finance more rocket attacks, and to reward the families of terrorists who died in the execution of those attacks, the Trump administration immediately stopped that flow of U.S. taxpayer dollars.
But now, thanks to the Biden/Harris administration, that flow of U.S. taxpayer dollars has resumed, and the same is true with regard to Iran. The Trump administration pulled the U.S. out of the phony Iran Nuclear Deal in 2018, and initiated economic sanctions against Iran. Those sanctions prevented Iran from shipping oil and other Iranian produced goods – and – it put a damper on Iran’s ability to finance various terrorist groups around the world.
But now, the Biden/Harris administration wants to lift the economic sanctions against Iran – and – rejoin the phony Iran Nuclear Deal . . . even though the U.S. State Department still lists Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Cuba as State Sponsors of Terrorism.
It doesn’t make any sense does it! Let us pray that God has mercy on us and intercedes in this madness.
