The National Basketball Association is modifying its guidance to teams concerning team practice facilities and player training in light of relaxed rules by some states concerning the coronavirus.

On May 8, teams can make their practice facilities available to their players for workouts or treatments on a voluntary, individual basis if they are in a state and city that no longer restricts those activities.

They would have these restraints:

  • No more than four players would be allowed in any one time.
  • No head or assistant coaches could take part.
  • They could not hold practices or scrimmages.
  • Players could not use non-team facilities such as public health clubs, fitness centers, or gyms.

Some hope that the NBA could resume its halted season and hold the playoffs.
