A new survey of likely Republican primary voters shows the Oklahoma governor’s race has shifted dramatically, with Charles McCall surging into a dead heat with Gentner Drummond.

The Stratus Intelligence poll, conducted September 23–25 among 837 likely GOP primary voters, found:

• Head-to-head ballot: McCall 33%, Drummond 35% (32% undecided).
• Three-way ballot (McCall, Drummond, Keating): McCall 31%, Drummond 32%, Chip Keating 6% (who just recently entered the race).
• Expanded ballot (5 candidates + “Someone else”): McCall 27, Drummond 29; others in low single digits; 32% undecided.

“These results confirm what we’re seeing across the state — Charles McCall’s message is breaking through and conservative voters are rallying to his candidacy,” said David Polyansky, McCall’s General Consultant. “Drummond’s support has collapsed since June, while McCall has gained double digits..”

The survey also found that a majority of Republican voters now view McCall as conservative (62%), with nearly four in ten describing him as “very conservative.” By contrast, only 18% describe Drummond as “very conservative.”

“This is a conservative primary, and Charles McCall is clearly the conservative choice,” Polyansky added.

The poll highlights the impact of recent advertising by the Oklahoma Conservative Coalition, with more than half of GOP voters recalling McCall’s ads on protecting farmland from foreign ownership and defending women’s sports.

With months still to go before the June 2026 primary, the race has fundamentally changed. What was once a wide Drummond lead has evaporated.
