On the second national signing day, Oklahoma did send out any letters of intent to any players.

“Definitely, a different type of signing day than we’ve all been accustomed to through the years,” Riley said. “Obviously, so much has changed. But regardless of that, we’re excited about where this team is headed.”

Coach Lincoln Riley said he was satisfied by the players signed in December plus a handful of transfers from other schools.  OU added five players from the transfer portal and that included three from The University of Tennessee. OU safety Brendan Radley-Hines has entered the transfer portal but there is a chance he will stay at Oklahoma.

OU signed 17 players in December in a talent-loaded group that has been rated in the Top 10 or near the Top Ten in the nation. The three Tennessee transfers are running back Eric Gray, defensive back Key Lawrence and left tackle Wanya Morris. Riley said the Sooners had recruited Lawrence and Morris while they were in high school.

Oklahoma added Penn State quarterback transfer Micah Bowens – a redshirt-freshman and former four-star dual-threat prospect out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, the same school that produced OU running backs coach DeMarco Murray.

The Sooners added former Arizona offensive line starter Robert Congel. Congel started his college career as a Texas A&M recruit before transferring to Arizona. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
