How should a Christian react to the surge of homosexual influence in American culture?

First, homosexuality is a sin. It is clearly condemned in the Old Testament and the New Testament. While God and the Bible clearly condemn this sinful behavior, it is not an unforgivable sin. There are plenty of examples of men and women who have fallen for this sinful lifestyle and have found faith in Christ and have been restored. It happens all the time.

The core issue is whether God made a mistake when He created men as men and women as women. There are only two sexes – male and female. People can dress as the other sex and even take hormones or get surgery to appear as the other sex but it doesn’t change their DNA or their innate nature.

A good number of people who have irreversible surgery have deep regrets and are more prone to depression and suicide than normal people.

And it is particularly harmful when adults – especially parents and doctors – convince a boy that he is really a girl or a girl that she is really a boy. (It is against the law in Oklahoma to order puberty blockers or sex change surgery for someone under 21. It’s child abuse). It is not a source of genuine pride to flaunt your homosexuality in public or to encourage others to repeat your pervert mistakes.

Here’s the truth. God judges sin. He destroyed Sodom for homosexuality. Now America is headed down that path and we are cloaking this in a false sense of “pride.”
