The OSU Cowboy Fall Football schedule has dates but only the non-conference game times are decided.
They will kick off the season at Tulsa at 2:45 p.m. CDT on Saturday, September 5. It is the first time in 25 years the Cowboys have opened in Tulsa.
The two other non-conference games are against Oregon and Murray State at home – the only back to back home games of the season. The Oregon Ducks have never played the Cowboys in Stillwater, the kickoff will be at 11 a.m. CDT on Sept. 12. Oregon will be a tough team to beat, they made it to the semifinals of last year’s College Football Playoffs.
Murray State and Oklahoma State have never played a football game before. Both teams had disasterous seasons last year and are looking to turn it around. They will play at Boone Pickens Stadium on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.
The rest of OSU’s season games are conference games with five away games and four home games. The only two games that are back to back away games are the Iowa State and Kansas State on October 31 and November 7.
The only bye week will be the week of October 3rd, just after their first conference game against West Virginia, which they will play on September 26 in Morgantown.
After the bye week UCF will play the Cowboys at home for the first time in Stillwater on September 10.
The University Houston is up next on October 17 at the TDECU Stadium.
The Pokes will play the Buffs at home for Homecoming this year on October 24th. This will be the first time since 2009 that Colorado has played in Stillwater and head coach Deion Sanders first visit.
After the two back to back away games at Iowa State and Kansas State, OSU will play last year’s Big 12 Champion Texas Tech at home on Nov. 14.
On Saturday, November 21, OSU will play the Arizona State
Sun Devils in Mountain America Stadium in Tempe.
The last of the regular season games will be held on Saturday, November 28 against Kansas in Stillwater.
This will be head coach Eric Morris’ first full year as coach of the Cowboys. He has brought 35 staff members and 19 players with him from North Texas. It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys can win a Conference game, as they have not been able to do so in the past two seasons.
