The ORU Mens Baseball team won their Super Regional in Ohio and advance to the Mens NCAA College World Series.

For the first time since 1978, the Oral Roberts baseball team is headed to the College Baseball World Series in Omaha. The Golden Eagles defeated Oregon, 11-6, Sunday in the Eugene Super Regional from PK Park. ORU took two of the three games in the series.

ORU is only the third No. 4 seed in NCAA history to advance to Omaha and the first since 2012.

Caleb Isaacs earned the win to improve to 8-0 on the year, while Dalton Patten picked up the save after striking out three in three innings of work.

Jake McMurray went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored to lead the Golden Eagles offensively. The multi-hit performance marked the 27th of the season for the Tulsa, Oklahoma, native. Junior Jonah Cox pushed his hit streak to 47 games, which is tied for the third-longest streak in NCAA history, and has hit safely in 62 of the 63 contests this season.

With two outs in the inning, McMurray pushed across his second RBI of the night with a single to center.

The Ducks threatened in the bottom half of the frame as they loaded the bases with one out, bringing the tying run to the dish. Patten, who entered with two on and no outs, escaped the jam with minimal damage as only one run came across on a sacrifice fly.

The Golden Eagles added insurance in the ninth as three runs came across to score, pushing the advantage to 11-5. After ORU loaded the bases, Quinn and Cox drew back-to-back RBI walks and Hogan plated the final run of the frame on a hit-by-pitch.

In the bottom half of the ninth, the Ducks pushed across a run on an RBI single but Patten slammed the door shut to seal the 11-6 victory.

The Golden Eagles will face TCU in the opening round of the College World Series.
