The Summit League announced that 11 individuals from league champion Oral Roberts baseball team made the all-league teams or won individual awards.
Isaac Coffey was named the Pitcher of the Year, Joshua Cox was selected as the Newcomer of the Year and Ryan Folmar earned his fifth Summit League Coach of the Year honor.
Coffey went 6-0 in league play and posted a 1.64 ERA. He fanned 44 in 44 innings of work while leading the league with three complete games and two shutouts. Cox batted .364 and ranked third among league batters with 40 hits. Fourteen of those went for extra bases as he had a league-best 11 doubles to go with a triple, two homers and 20 RBI in 26 league contests.
Folmar led the Golden Eagles to their 19th regular season title and fifth under his watch. ORU finished 19-7 and either won or split each of its seven league series as the Golden Eagles led the league in both team batting average (.320) and team ERA (3.87).
North Dakota State shortstop Bennett Hostetler was the league’s Player of the Year.
Coffey was the only repeat first teamer from those selected in 2019 when the last league awards were last given. The Goleta, Calif., native and Cox were joined on the first team by catcher Alex Jones, first baseman Jake Murray, second baseman Ryan Cash, outfielder Caleb Denny, designated hitter Jordan Wiley, utility player Hunter Swift and starting pitcher Matt Gaskins.
Three members of the second team were repeat honorees as Omaha shortstop Keil Krumweide and Oral Roberts outfielder Blake Hall filled similar spots in 2019. Bison sophomore Max Loven was a first-team selection as a freshman and landed on the second team in 2021.
SDSU catcher Derek Hackman was joined on the second team by Jackrabbit righthander Drew Beazley. Hall and relief pitcher Adam Scoggins were the two Golden Eagles selected.
