ORU has signed five basketball players – two freshmen and three transfers.
Coach Paul Mills signed freshmen Jamie Bergens (Almere, Netherlands) and Nate Clover (Port Arthur, Texas) along with transfers R.J. Glasper (Forrest City, Ark.), Sheldon Stevens (Grandview, Mo.) and Kareem Thompson (Florence, Ala.) to the program.

Jamie Bergens, West Nottingham Academy, freshman guard, 6-2
Bergens is a four-star recruit and 143rd best prospect in Netherlands via 247Sports. He started for Netherlands at the 2019 FIBA U18 European Championships A Division with 10 points, three assists and three rebounds per game.
He is a Top 70 prospect in Europe according to EuroHopes.com. He managed a 2.4:1 assist to turnover ratio.
Nate Clover, Memorial High School (Port Arthur, Texas), freshman center, 6-8
Clover was nominated to the 2020 McDonald’s All-American game as the 16th-ranked player in the state of Texas by 247Sports.
He is a three-time District 21-5A Defensive Player of the Year, two-time UIL 5A All-Region First Team selection and a three-time all-district first team honoree. He ended his prep career ranked in the top three in career blocks and rebounds and helped the Titans win a UIL 5A state championship in 2017-18.
R.J. Glasper, Arkansas Tech, redshirt senior guard, 6-0
Glasper played three seasons at Arkansas Tech after taking a redshirt year as a true freshman at Arkansas.
He averaged 18.7 points per game across 82 outings in three years for the Wonder Boys leading the team in scoring each season. He was named Great American Conference Freshman of the Year and All-GAC First Team in 2017-18 and All-GAC Second Team in 2019-20.
He shot 34 percent from 3-point range in his collegiate career (192-of-572) and added 5.1 assists per game.
Sheldon Stevens, Southern Arkansas Tech, junior guard, 6-3
Stevens spent two years at SAU Tech, including the program’s inaugural season in 2018-19, and ranked 58th of all junior college players. He picked up NJCAA Division II All-American recognition twice with the Rockets.
He was a two-time NJCAA Region 2 Division II MVP and All-Region First Team honoree. He led the Rockets in scoring during both collegiate campaigns averaging 21.1 points per game this year after totaling 19.9 points per game in his freshman season.
Kareem Thompson, East Central Community College, sophomore guard, 6-6
He was named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 Team and First Team All-Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges in his lone season at East Central Community College.
He led the Warriors scoring 17.2 points per game adding 111 rebounds, 58 assists and 35 steals in 23 games played. He reached double-digit scoring in 22 of 23 games, including a season-best 31 twice and helped Florence High School set a program record for wins in a single season in 2018-19.
