North Dakota State controlled the game from tipoff to the final buzzer, as the Bison beat the ORU Golden Eagles, 86-58, on Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Center. Just a few weeks ago, ORU had forced double overtime against the Bison on their home court in Fargo.
ORU dropped to 5-17 overall and 0-7 in Summit League play. NDSU remained undefeated in conference play, improving to 18-5, 8-0 SL.
The Bison shot 60.0% from the field in the first half and had a 50-26 lead over ORU at halftime. North Dakota State extended its lead to 77-44 before the Golden Eagles went on a 6-0 run, to shrink the deficit to 77-50 with 4:45 to play.
The Golden Eagles are on a three-game road trip, playing at South Dakota Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m., and at South Dakota State on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
