Oral Roberts men’s basketball coach Paul Mills said forward Sir Issac Herron (Houston) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the program for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
“We are extremely excited about Sir Issac joining our basketball family,” said Mills. “He possesses versatility in his skill set, while having the size to do work on the interior and perimeter. He has elite athleticism in conjunction with a phenomenal work ethic.
“Sir Issac has all the attributes we look for in a person and player. I can’t wait for him to join our team and excited for Golden Eagle fans to watch him in the Mabee Center.”
Herron was a three-star recruit and the No. 18 ranked player from the state of Texas by 247Sports. He was selected to the all-conference second team and was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
Mills said guard Issac McBride (Little Rock, Arkansas) is signed to play for the Oral Roberts men’s basketball team for the 2021-22 campaign after transferring from Vanderbilt.
“Issac is a dynamic scorer and shooter as well as a tenacious defender,” said Mills. “He shot 42% from 3 in a tough SEC conference, while also doing a tremendous job taking care of the ball. We are excited to have Issac as a member of our basketball family. Golden Eagle fans will love the value he adds to this team as he is a winner on and off the court!”
McBride made 21 appearances with two starts for the Commodores averaging 4.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 2020-21. He was the 2019 Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year at Baptist Prep and a three-time all-state selection
