Three players scored in the 20’s to lead Oral Roberts to a 94-70 win at Kansas City on Saturday. It was the first time since 2017 that ORU had three players with 20 or more points in a game.
ORU won three straight games to finish the regular season and improved to 9-22 overall and 4-12 in the Summit League. Kansas City fell to 4-26, 1-15 SL.
The Golden Eagles were led by Ty Harper with 27 points and six assists. Luke Gray and Connor Dow each added 20 points.
ORU jumped out with an 11-0 run to take an early lead and led 43-30 at halftime.
The Golden Eagles continued to dominate in the second half and after going on an 8-0 run, ORU led 86-60 with 4:50 to play.
Kansas City was led by Karmello Branch with 22 points.
ORU swept Kansas City in the two-game season series and were scheduled to face the Roos again in the first round of the Summit League Tournament on Wednesday evening. ORU entered the tournament as the No. 8 seed while Kansas City was the No. 9 seed.
