SKIATOOK – Osage Hills Retreat is tailored for quilting, scrapbooking, paper arts, beading and craft enthusiasts.
“A craft retreat is the perfect chance to escape from the daily grind. It’s an opportunity to catch up with friends and get recharged,” said owner Melissa Struttmann. She and husband Steve recently acquired the Osage County property and converted 40% into a Craft Retreat Center.
Tucked away in historic Osage County on 12 acres, Osage Hills Retreat offers a getaway for small groups looking for a secluded setting to host a crafting getaway. With accommodations for eight, there is more than 2,400 square feet dedicated to crafting, dining and sleeping. Guests can also enjoy the private courtyard, walking path and creek. Two roomy bedrooms and three bathrooms offer individual space.
The Retreat Center is minutes from local shopping and dining Just 10 miles from Skiatook Lake, 26 miles to Tulsa’s Cherry Street and 37 miles to Pawhuska’s Pioneer Woman Mercantile/Restaurant.
“Osage Hills Retreat Center offers the comforts and amenities that quilters, scrapbookers, crafters and hobbyists expect,” said Struttmann. “Everything is located on the first floor. There are no stairs or steps. Each guest has their own twin bed with pillows, handmade quilts and fresh linens. The kitchenette/laundry room is fully equipped. The refrigerator is stocked with bottled water, soft drinks and condiments.”
The spacious Activity Room is bright with plenty of natural light. Each crafter has a six-foot worktable, 24×36 cutting mat, task light and task chair. There is a coffee, tea and snack bar and complimentary Wi-Fi, TVs with Roku, DVD players and video library.
