Anthony Roy led Oklahoma State with five three-pointers and a total of 26 points to help the Cowboys beat Utah 81-69 on Saturday in Salt Lake City. It was the Cowboys’ first Big 12 road win since beating Cincinnati, 80-76, on Feb. 12, 2024, ending a 15-game streak.
OSU is now 15-6 overall, and 3-5 in the Big 12. Utah fell to 9-12, 1-7 Big 12. OSU takes a 6-2 lead in the all-time series (2-1 in the Big 12 era).
There were nine ties and 10 lead changes in the game. Oklahoma State led 40-39 at halftime behind Roy’s 14 first-half points.
OSU trailed 52-49 with 11:00 remaining in the game, but the Cowboys took the lead for good after Christian Coleman scored back-to-back baskets in an 8-0 run, giving the Cowboys a five-point lead with eight minutes remaining. OSU outscored the Utes 32-17 in the final 11:00.
Coleman finished the game with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Parsa Fallah scored 13 points and Vyctorius Miller added 10 for the Cowboys who ended a two-game losing streak.
Terrence Brown scored 20 points, Don McHenry added 17, Keanu Dawes had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Seydou Traore scored 10 points for the Utes, who have lost three straight and eight of their last nine.
OSU won the rebounding battle, 43-34.
The Cowboys will visit Arizona on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. CST. The game will be broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2.
