The Oklahoma State Cowgirls swept their way through the Stillwater Regional of the NCAA Softball Tournament, with a win over Eastern Illinois, and two wins against Stanford, at Cowgirl Stadium.
No. 15 OSU opened the regional by scoring 16 runs on 17 hits against Eastern Illinois to earn a 16-0 five-inning run-rule victory on Friday.
On Saturday, the Cowgirls beat Stanford 7-2, behind the pitching of Ruby Meylan, who earned the complete game win. Meylan allowed only four hits and two runs in seven innings.
OSU completed the sweep on Sunday with an 11-5 win over Stanford. The Cowgirls scored six runs in the fifth inning to pull away from Stanford and secure a spot in the NCAA Super Regionals.
The win improved Oklahoma State to 41-15 overall, while Stanford is now 39-15.
The Cowgirls will face Nebraska in the NCAA Softball Super Regionals, best of three series.
