Oklahoma running back Mickey Henderson was released by the team, according to coach Lincoln Riley.
Henderson has been identified by the police as the third participant in a robbery on April 15 involving former OU players Trejan Bridges and Seth McGowan. The Norman Police Department asked for an arrest warrant from the Cleveland County District Attorney’s office for Henderson.
McGowan and Bridges were released from the team in May after a warrant was issued for their arrest for charges of robbery, conspiracy and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Eric Gray, Kennedy Brooks and Marcus Major are the remaining running backs for the Sooners. The team lost Rhamondre Stevenson to the NFL draft and T.J. Pledger to the transfer portal.
