Oklahoma used a balanced scoring performance to defeat South Carolina, 82-62, at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, on Saturday. All 10 Sooners who played in the game scored, and OU recorded its first-ever SEC win.

The Sooners are now 14-4 overall and 1-4 in the SEC, while the Gamecocks are still looking for their first conference win of the season and are now 10-8, 0-5 SEC. The Sooners are now 6-1 all-time against South Carolina.

It was a rough start for the Sooners, who committed 11 turnovers in the first half, but settled down in the second half and only had one turnover in the final 20 minutes. South Carolina committed 16 turnovers in the game and OU outscored the Gamecocks 19-3 off turnovers.

OU led 34-30 at halftime but pulled away midway through the second half with a 15-0 run to take a commanding 74-54 lead.

The Sooners shot better than 50-percent from the field for the third time in four games (56.0%). The Gamecocks shot 41.2% on field goals. The Sooners shot 47.1% from 3-point range (8 for 17) and 85.7% from the free throw line (18 for 21).

OU was led by Jalen Moore with 22 points while Jeremiah Fears scored in double figures for the 17th time in 18 games. He had 16 points and career highs of nine rebounds and eight assists, in this one. Kobe Elvis also finished in double-digits with 12.

South Carolina was led by Morris Ugusuk with 15 points, Collin Murray-Boyles had 11 points and Jacobi Wright with 10.

The Sooners will play at Arkansas on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
