Mississippi State missed a last-second shot and Oklahoma held on for a one-point victory, 63-62, Saturday in Norman in the Big 12/SEC Showdown.

Brady Manek paced the Sooners with 18 points.  A Bulldog player missed a jump shot near the free-throw line and OU got the rebound to seal the victory.

“It was a huge game for both teams, and I think we played like it,” said OU coach Lon Kruger. “Every game is going to be like that. Mississippi State is going to win a lot of ball games this year, and that will help us when the seeds come out.”

OU (13-6, 3-3 in the Big 12) played at Kansas State Wednesday night and will host Oklahoma State (10-9, 0-6) at 1 p.m. Saturday in the first Bedlam battle this season.
