Oklahoma cruised through the Norman Regional of the NCAA Softball Tournament, with three consecutive wins.

The No. 3 Sooners opened the regional on Friday by scoring in every inning to defeat Binghamton, 11-0, in a run-rule shortened five inning game. OU homered four times in the game, while the pitchers turned in a two-hit shutout.

On Saturday, the Sooners got back-to-back home runs from Kasidi Pickering and Isabela Emerling hit back-to-back home runs in the second inning, and added six more runs in the fourth, to beat Kansas, 9-0 in five innings.

Oklahoma’s Miali Guachino pitched a one-hitter to lift the Sooners to their 50th win of the season. OU has now reached 50 wins in 10 consecutive seasons, while head coach Patty Gasso reaches that milestone for the 19th time in her career.

Sunday, the Sooners wrapped up the regional with an impressive 8-1 win over Michigan to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals.

Oklahoma’s pitching staff was efficient and effective, holding Michigan to only three hits.

OU is now 51-9, and Michigan falls to 36-22. The victory moves OU to its 16th consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance, the longest active streak in Division I. The Sooners outscored opponents, 28-1, in their three regional contests.

The Sooners will face Mississippi State in a best of three Super Regional matchup.
