University of Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey and Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard were named to the Associated Press preseason All-America first team.

OU kicker Gabe Brkic was named to the preseason All-America second team and so was OSU receiver Tylan Wallace.

The team was selected by 47 AP poll voters, who were asked to consider all Division I players — even those who had already opted out of the season or whose teams had canceled fall football.

Humphrey, from Shawnee, Okla., was the 2019 Big 12 Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year and a finalist for the Rimington Trophy. A second-team All-American and a first-team All-Big 12 selection last season, he made 25 starts over the last two years, including in all 14 games in 2019.

Brkic, from Chardon, Ohio, was the only placekicker nationally who made all of his field goal and extra point tries in 2019 (69 for 69 combined). Also a Lou Groza Award semifinalist and a second-team All-Big 12 selection last season, Brkic  went 17 for 17 on field goal attempts and 52 for 52 on PATs. His 103 kicking points were the most by an FBS player without a miss since at least 1996. He is also a 2020 preseason All-American by Sporting News.

Hubbard, the 2019 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, is the first Cowboy to be named the conference’s Preseason Offensive Player of the Year since Justin Blackmon in 2011.

Wallace was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award and a first team All-American in 2018. The senior out of Fort Worth, Texas, enters 2020 ranked third among active FBS players with 2,512 career receiving yards and is second with 20 career receiving touchdowns.
