Gov. Kevin Stitt appointed Judge Trevor S. Pemberton to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals.

This is the governor’s second appointment to that Court.  

“Judge Trevor Pemberton is a dedicated Oklahoman and proven legal mind who will serve our State and people well,” said Stitt.  

“I am humbled and honored that Governor Stitt sees fit to appoint me as a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals,” said Judge Pemberton. “God continues to bless and guide my career. As I have done during my time as a district court judge, I commit to a strict and even application of the law as written.”

Pemberton has served as Chief District Judge of the Oklahoma County Juvenile Division since May 2019. In addition, he served as a District Judge for Oklahoma County from January 2018 to May 2019 and a Special District Judge for Oklahoma County from May 2017 to January 2018. Prior to taking the Bench, Judge Pemberton was in private practice from 2008 to 2017 and worked at firms including: Foliart, Huff, Ottaway & Bottom; Mulinix, Ogden, Hall, Andrews & Ludlam; and Hayes Magrini & Gatewood. 

Judge Pemberton earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 2005 and his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude, in 2008. Pemberton currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Salt and Light Leadership Training (SALLT) and the OCU Law Alumni Association.
