Mend Pregnancy Resource Center, 6216 S. Lewis Ave., Suite 100, will dedicate their new expansion with 12 hours of prayer from noon to midnight on June 14.
The Christian center has doubled its capacity to serve clients and patients thanks to a jump in contributions this year. The new medical addition opened April 29 and the new education suite opened May 6.
Mend Executive Director Forrest Cowan said, “A critical ingredient is the growing number of volunteers needed.”
The nondenominational center takes no government funds and it doesn’t charge women who come in for help. Mend has a program to assist women who don’t want to abort their unborn babies and the center offers help – including Christian counseling – for three years after the birth of a child.
Cowan said Mend would like for Christians to volunteer to pray for one hour in a period from noon to midnight on June 14 at the center. Signup is available by calling 918-745-6000 or email [email protected]. The website is www.mendpregnancy.org.
