The rule of law is a cornerstone for America and it takes officials with proven character to ensure fair treatment for all citizens.

Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler has proven over and over again that he has the in-depth knowledge and experience to be the top person in law enforcement in our county.

And Kunzweiler has character that is needed to make decisions based on the law and not on politics.

During the Obama regime, racial conflicts popped up across the country as police were targeted for what was perceived as abuse of power. Sometimes it was due to poor decisions by the police and sometimes it was hyped by leftist elements who simple wanted to stir up racial animosity. Obama did nothing to calm the situation.

Tulsa County had two incidents which could have turned into riots but they did not. They didn’t because Tulsa has improved racial relations over the years and those conflicts were minimized because of the steady work of DA Steve Kunzweiler and his staff of prosecutors.

The public doesn’t have to always agree with those decisions but they need to trust the judgment and integrity of the district attorney.

That’s what Tulsa gets from Steve Kunzweiler.

Other counties in Oklahoma are not so fortunate.

On November 6, Tulsa County voters can elect Kunzweiler to a new four-year term. That is preferable to electing an unknown to run that office.

The Tulsa Beacon endorses Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler for re-election.
