Even pumpkins can be recycled into compost.

Tulsa area residents can bring their pumpkins to the M.e.t. for recycling after Halloween in November.

The Metropolitan Environmental Trust (the M.e.t.) will hold its third annual Great Pumpkin Rescue at six of its locations during the month of November.

Full Sun Composting will recycle the pumpkins as compost.  Pumpkins brought for recycling need to have all glitter, candles and decorations removed. Fully painted pumpkins will not be accepted.

These M.e.t. locations will collect pumpkins in November:

  • Central Tulsa, 3495 S. Sheridan Road
  • East Tulsa, 2160 S. Garnett Road
  • Bixby, 211 N. Cabaniss
  • Broken Arrow, 302 N. Elm Place
  • Owasso, 499 S. Main St.
  • Sand Springs, 105 E. Morrow Road
