For 25 years, Samaritan Ministries has focused on a Bible-based mission and responsible stewardship, enabling hundreds of thousands of members to lift up one another as they pray and send notes of encouragement with saring of health concerns and costs.

“Over a quarter of a century, Samaritan Ministries has taken our charge very seriously – to enable thousands of member households to share their medical needs among a Biblical community,” said Anthony Hopp, vice president of external relations for Samaritan Ministries. “Over the years, our process has been continually improved as we adapt to an ever-changing health care landscape and to the technologies available to us that make health care sharing through Samaritan Ministries even more efficient.”

For example, a longtime member, Marsha from Idaho, says, “Samaritan has been more than I could have ever expected.”

“Over the many years as a member, I have been comforted in illness and recovery just knowing so many fellow Christians are praying and praising God for His goodness and mercy,” Marsha said. “The financial help has been wonderful, but the cards and notes made every problem so much easier. Thank you to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.”

Justin and Lora from Iowa have been Samaritan members for seven years.

“Any time we have had a need, it has been handled quickly and easily,” they said. “The notes and prayers are a great blessing! We are very thankful for a Christian ministry to help with our medical needs!”

Nia in Illinois has been a Samaritan member for 15 years and had two simple words to describe her feeling about health care sharing through Samaritan Ministries: “Love it!”

“Everything people are saying here is true,” Nia said. “Been through cancer and a colon resection while a member and never had a bill that wasn’t (shared by members)!”

Tol of Tennessee said he and his family “have had nothing but good results since we joined 14+ years ago.”

“We’ve had to share too many needs: from cataracts, hernia surgeries, pancreas surgery to physical therapy, and all has been (shared with members) quickly and expeditiously,” Tol said. “We heartily recommend Samaritan Ministries.”

Each month, the more than 82,000 Samaritan member households (270,000-plus individuals) send their financial shares directly to other members, along with notes and cards of encouragement, through this effective, God-honoring ministry. Samaritan’s growing Biblical community shares approximately $29 million in medical needs person-to-person each month. In fact, Samaritan members have shared $1.8 billion in needs over 25 years.
