The City of Tulsa’s annual “Stock the Station” Food Drive raised $1,369.50 for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma this yeIn 2020, the Food Bank distributed 3.7 million more pounds of food annually since the last pre-pandemic year.

The Food Bank currently provides access to the equivalent of 525,000 meals per week for Oklahomans experiencing food insecurity.

Jeff Marlow, Deputy CEO and Chief Culinary Officer for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, said, “The backing from the City of Tulsa, Police, and Fire Departments is amazing and shows when we all pull together great things happen. With your great support, as long as hunger exists, the Food Bank and our network stand ready to serve the community.”

In years past, citizens were encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at City of Tulsa fire stations and police divisions.

Due to the pandemic, participants were encouraged to make monetary donations online in 2020 and 2021.
