It will be youth versus experience when the Los Angeles Rams face the New England Patriots Sunday in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.
Sean McVay, coach of the Rams, just turned 33. Patriots’ coach Bill Belichick is 66.
America only had 48 states when Belichick was born in 1952 and the NFL had only 12 teams. Now we have 50 states and the NFL has 28 teams.
Los Angeles quarterback Jared Goff is 24 while New England quarterback Tom Brady is 41.
The New England Patriots were 11-5 in the regular season and won the AFC East. Their losses were to Jacksonville, Detroit, Tennessee, Miami and Pittsburgh. They beat Kansas City twice, once in the regular season and once in the playoffs.
Los Angeles was 13-3 in the regular season and won the NFC West. Their only losses were versus New Orleans, Chicago and Philadelphia. They beat the Saints in the NFC Championship game.

Former Oklahoma Sooner linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo was selected by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Former OU safety Steven Parker is on the practice squad for Los Angeles.
Cornerback Kevin Peterson from Oklahoma State is on injured reserve for the Rams. Former OSU cornerback Ramon Richards is on the practice squad for Los Angeles. New England has no players with OU, OSU or Tulsa backgrounds.
