Tacos 4 Life, an Arkansas-grown taco restaurant with a mission to help end world starvation, will open their first location in Oklahoma in Tulsa in mid-2019. The news comes after the brand’s growth to three other states in the past year.
“It is a special accomplishment for our team when we have the opportunity to bring our brand and mission to a new state,” said Austin Samuelson, co-founder of Tacos 4 Life. “We are honored and blessed to continue spreading our meal for meal concept across the country. Tulsa will have the opportunity to change many children’s lives while enjoying some great food.”
The Tacos 4 Life Tulsa store will be at 10732 Memorial Drive. This will be the taco shop’s fourth state to expand to and 17th store opening.
The way Tacos 4 Life works is simple — for every taco, quesadilla, salad, nachos or rice bowl sold, Tacos 4 Life donates 22 cents to Feed My Starving Children. About 22 cents is equivalent to the cost of one meal for a hungry child. In October 2018, Tacos 4 Life reached seven million meals raised by guests since opening its doors in 2014.
Long before Tacos 4 Life opened its doors, co-founders Austin and Ashton Samuelson had a heart for the hungry. In 2009, they learned that over 18,000 children were dying worldwide each day due to starvation and hunger-related causes. What surprised them is that the problem was completely preventable. Starvation is nothing more than a distribution problem. This simple fact moved them to do something to help solve this problem. Tacos 4 Life opened its first location in Conway, Arkansas, in 2014.
The Samuelson’s believe that God is up to something big and can use Tacos 4 Life to fight to end world hunger, to help solve the world’s most solvable problem. Tacos 4 Life is in Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina and Tennessee.
