Here are some realities of dealing with the coronavirus in Oklahoma:

  • It is most dangerous to people over 50 and especially deadly to those over 75.
  • Children seem to be the least affected.
  • When testing goes up, confirmed cases go up but deaths and hospitalizations don’t rise proportionately.
  • Gatherings at funerals and weddings in particular spread the disease because people who are asymptomatic (they don’t know they have it because they don’t have symptoms) attend and people who have symptoms and don’t care attend.
  • Masks don’t stop you from getting the coronavirus. They probably slow down your chances of contracting it but they are most effective in preventing you from spreading it if you are asymptomatic.
  • Locking down Tulsa and Oklahoma and America may cause more eventual damage that the virus itself. The economic hurt is devastating, particularly to small businesses and the energy industry.
  • Being outside and away from crowds is a good way to avoid the coronavirus.
  • Gov. Kevin Stitt, unlike other governors, has not instituted unconstitutional constraints on church attendance, etc.

The world could have been spared much of the impact of this deadly disease had the Communist government in China had taken early steps to check its progress. They didn’t because they disregard the value of human life.

Tulsa and Oklahoma will return to normal sometime after the coronavirus runs its course. Don’t listen to the liberal media and their propaganda about a “new normal.”

Until then, it’s wise to base decisions on facts, not speculations, and adjust your personal behavior accordingly.
