Something very significant took place on September 14, 2020, and it was almost totally ignored by the fake-news media.  In fact, Nancy Pelosi said “it was just a publicity stunt by Trump to detract from Covid-19.”

On September 14, 2020, President Trump presided over the signing of an historic agreement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain.  The signing took place at the White House, and the agreement is being called the Abrahamic Covenant.

What makes this agreement so significant is the fact that these two Arab-Muslim nations (UAE and Bahrain) are now pledging to normalize relations with Israel.

This is something nearly every other country in the predominantly Muslim Middle East (except Egypt and Jordan) have refused to do since 1948, when Israel was formally recognized as a sovereign nation by the United Nations.

It is now believed that other Arab-Muslim countries will soon follow suit.  However, on the day of the signing, the Arab-Palestinians in Gaza were firing rockets into Israel.  Gaza is under the control of Hamas, the Islamic terrorists group that is financed by Iran – and Iran is still calling for Israel to be “wiped off the map.”

The original Abrahamic Covenant was the promise that God made to Abraham when he told him to leave the land of his father’s household and go to a land where: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”  (see Genesis 12:1-3; 17:1-8)

God led Abraham to the “Promised Land” which was the land of Canaan; and God told Abraham he was giving him “the whole land of Canaan” (from the Mediterranean Sea on the west – to the hill country in modern-day Jordan on the east – and from the Wadi River in Egypt on the south – to the Euphrates River in the north (see Genesis 15:18-21; 17:8).

Over the years, in seeking peace with their neighbors, Israel has given up much of the land God gave them.  Israel is now slightly larger than the state of New Jersey and has about the same population (8.4 million).

But Israel is extremely important to Almighty God.  And those who try to wipe Israel off the map – and those who try to annihilate the Jewish people will never succeed.

God has chosen Mount Zion in Jerusalem to be the spot where Jesus will return to rule and reign (see Zechariah 8:3; 12:1-9; 14:1-9; Revelation 19:11-21).

All of us need to thank the Lord, that President Trump recognizes Israel’s important role in God’s plan for this world, and has worked tirelessly to support Israel’s right to exist, and to be a blessing to Israel as God commanded in Genesis 12:3.

Almighty God must surely be pleased with President Trump’s 12/6/2017 recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city – the moving of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on 5/14/2018 – the recognition of Israel’s right to the Golan Heights on 3/25/2019 – and now the signing of this historic agreement, the Abrahamic Covenant on 9/14/2020.

Let us all pray that God will bless and protect President Donald J. Trump and his family, and his administration as they work to protect the lives of our unborn children, protect our borders, restore law and order, stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel, and get this nation back to work.

And Lord; give us favor in the November 2020 election.
