Thanks to the college football transfer portal, players are switching teams all over the place.
The University of Tulsa football team had added six transfers to the 2021 roster, including five 4-year college transfers and one junior college student-athlete.
Tulsa added three players to each side of the ball, including two defensive backs and one lineman on defense, while one running back, one receiver and one lineman will join the offensive side of the ball.
On offense, Steven Anderson is a running back from Southern Miss, receiver Ezra Naylor II comes from Kansas and offensive lineman Will Farniok is from Nebraska. Defensively, lineman Elijah Taylor transfers from Eastern Kentucky after also playing two seasons at Notre Dame, and cornerbacks Travon Fuller, a transfer from Texas A&M, and Tyree Carlisle, who comes from Independence Community College.
Anderson opted out of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus and has two years of eligibility left. He played in 12 games in 2019, rushing for 195 yards and three scores. He formerly played quarterback and tight end. As a senior in high school, he led his team with 906 yards rushing.
Carlisle played in the defensive secondary last season at Independence Community College. In high school, he rushed for 1,092 yards in two seasons and scored 16 touchdowns.
Frarniok, who is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was an academic All-Big Ten selection in 2019 and 2020 at Nebraska. He played center for Nebraska in the season opener against No. 5 Ohio State in 2020.
Fuller is a graduate transfer from Texas A&M. The defensive back played in all the Aggie games in 2019 and played in four games in 2020. He played at Athens High School in Athens, Texas.
Naylor is a graduate transfer from the University of Kansas. He played at Kansas State for two years after playing two years at Kennesaw State. He was an Academic All-Big 12 first teamer at KU in 2020.
Taylor, a defensive lineman, is a graduate transfer from Eastern Kentucky. He played his first three seasons at Notre Dame. He was named to the USA Today American Family Insurance All-USA Ohio Football Team as defensive lineman at Cincinnati Moeller High School.
