The Tulsa County Election Board has an immediate need for poll workers for the upcoming August 23 runoff election and November 8 election.

The recent pandemic and labor shortage has left many of the counties across Oklahoma in critical need for poll workers on election day.

Poll workers are compensated for their time and, in some cases, mileage for travel.  Pay ranges from $100.00 per day to $110.00 per day depending on the position.

“Becoming a poll worker ensures that Oklahoma’s elections are well-staffed and maintained,” said Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Gwen Freeman. “It is truly the backbone or our election system and is critical to our democracy.  Please consider this urgent need and take advantage of this opportunity to serve your community and help your Election Board maintain the integrity of our most important freedom, and that is our right to vote.

“To qualify, you must be a registered voter in Tulsa County and must attend a mandatory one-day paid training class. To find out all you need to know please don’t hesitate to contact the Tulsa County Election Board’s Precinct Official Department or visit our website at www.tulsacounty.org for information on elections.”
