TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa and New Mexico State have agreed to a home-and-home football series with games scheduled for the 2025 and 2034 seasons.

New Mexico State Aggies are members of Conference USA.

Tulsa travels to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for the first of the two games on Sept. 6, 2025, at Aggie Memorial Stadium, while New Mexico State returns the trip to Tulsa on Sept. 9, 2034.

The series renews an old rivalry that goes back to 1946 when the school’s played for the first time with Tulsa coming out on top 52-0. The schools were members together in the Missouri Valley Conference for 12 years (1971-82). New Mexico State’s membership in the Valley covered from 1971 to 1982, while Tulsa’s MVC membership in football was 1935 to 1985.

Tulsa leads the overall series 15-4. The two teams last played as non-conference foes in 2001 when the Aggies claimed a 24-7 win in Tulsa.

Tulsa also announced a first-time meeting against FCS opponent Texas A&M-Commerce, set for Sept. 19, 2026, at Tulsa’s H.A. Chapman Stadium.
