It was a thrilling game that was decided in overtime and ultimately in the end, the Green Bay Blizzard defeated the Tulsa Oilers, 67-60, to win the IFL Eastern Conference Championship, Sunday afternoon at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Oilers finish the season with a 12-6 record, while Green Bay, 15-3, advanced to the Championship game and will play the Arizona Rattlers (13-5) for the National Championship on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. CDT, in Tucson.

Green Bay jumped out to a quick start with a two-play scoring drive; Draysean Hudson hauled in a deep touchdown pass to give the Blizzard a 7-0 lead.

Tulsa answered immediately on its first play from scrimmage when TJ Edwards II connected with Jerminic Smith Sr. on a 38-yard flea-flicker touchdown. Axel Perez followed with a deuce to give the Oilers a 9-7 advantage.

Green Bay reclaimed the lead with another touchdown to make it 14-9, but Tulsa answered with another scoring drive.

With 3:41 remaining in the first quarter, Edwards found Caleb Ramseur for a seven-yard touchdown pass, putting Tulsa back in front, 16-14, to close the first quarter.

The lead continued to change hands in the second quarter. and Green Bay took a 17-16 lead on a field goal.

The Oilers responded with a four-yard touchdown catch by Ketron Jackson Jr. to regain the lead, 23-17.

After Green Bay moved back in front, 24-23, Smith Sr. hauled in a 15-yard touchdown reception to put Tulsa back ahead, 30-24.

The Blizzard then scored a touchdown and their defense sacked Tulsa’s quarterback in the end zone for a safety to take a 33-30 lead. Green Bay then connected on a field goal as time expired in the half, holding a 36-30 lead at the intermission.

Tulsa opened the second half with possession and quickly regained the lead. Edwards scored on a two-yard quarterback keeper to make it 37-36, and Perez added another deuce to extend the advantage to 39-36.

Green Bay answered with a nine-yard touchdown reception by Trevon Alexander to retake the lead, but Ramseur responded with a 7-yard rushing touchdown to put Tulsa back on top, 46-43.

The back-and-forth battle continued into the fourth quarter, with Green Bay again reclaiming the lead before Edwards scored his second rushing touchdown of the game from two yards out to give Tulsa a 53-50 advantage.

Green Bay again scored to take the lead, but Ramseur found the endzone once again to put Tulsa ahead 60-57 with just two seconds remaining in regulation. With the game on the line, Mevis connected on a field goal as time expired to send the Eastern Conference Championship to overtime tied at 60-60.

Green Bay received the ball first in overtime and faced a fourth-and-four situation near the goal line. The Blizzard converted with a touchdown pass to Isaac Ross putting the home team ahead 67-60.

Tulsa had one final opportunity to extend its season. On fourth-and-10, Edwards scrambled to keep the play alive but came up just a few feet short of the first down, ending the Oilers’ postseason run.

Despite the loss, Tulsa’s 2026 season featured a franchise-record 10-game winning streak and the Oilers’ first trip to the Eastern Conference Championship.
