Two sets of Cowboys, one from down the Cimarron Turnpike in Stillwater, and the other from Laramie, Wyoming, along with conference foes UCF, Houston, Memphis and Navy will visit H.A. Chapman Stadium in the fall to face The University of Tulsa on the gridiron.
Tulsa’s attractive home schedule will begin on the third week of the season as the Oklahoma State Cowboys come to town on Sept. 14, and a week later the Wyoming Cowboys will make its first trip to Tulsa since 1998 when the Hurricane claimed a 35-0 victory in the season finale.
OSU visits Tulsa for the 40th time in the Bank of Oklahoma Turnpike Series. The two teams have met 72 times overall in the series.
UCF finished the 2018 season as back-to-back American Athletic Conference Champions and was ranked 11th by the Associated Press and 12th in the final Coaches poll. UCF, from the East Division of the AAC, last played in Tulsa in 2015. Tulsa leads the overall series by a 7-3 advantage.
American Athletic Conference West Division rivals Houston, Memphis and Navy will be back at Chapman Stadium this season. They each last appeared in Tulsa during the 2017 campaign.
Tulsa’s road schedule is highlighted by nonconference road games against Michigan State to kick-off the season on August 30, and former Western Athletic Conference opponent San Jose State a week later.
The Hurricane will take to the road in league play against SMU and Tulane from the West Division, and East Division foes Cincinnati and East Carolina. Tulsa faced Cincinnati and East Carolina last in the 2016 season at Chapman Stadium.
Game dates for Tulsa’s conference games will be announced at a later time.
